gallery_news_052908_slots2.pngI am Megan Krause, originally a native of Massachusetts. I now share time between my home state and my newly adopted state, Maine. My interest in the design field began as a child when I used to sit for hours drawing pictures of houses and rooms. I thought I’d become an architect but my love of color and texture redirected my focus to interior decor.

As an adult I studied theater arts at Framingham State College where I dabbled in set design. I purchased an old colonial house that needed cosmetic renewal. I was fortunate to land a position in a decorating store. That is where I learned about good design technique and about all the products to cover windows, walls, furniture, and flooring.

After several years of working in the retail design center, I decided it was time to strike out on my own. It was then that I truly grew into an interior decorator. I made and installed window treatments, selected flooring, furniture, accessories, and painted rooms. I learned to be a paper hanger and adopted the arts of mural painting and hanging. I enhanced my painting skills by adding faux finishes to my service list. I have combined all of my knowledge to help people create their perfect spaces.

I have been an independent design consultant since 2003 and have loved every minute of it! Whether it is your home or your commercial space I look forward to helping you create your perfect environment.
